a late bloomer and new to all this I have created this site to document and express myself creatively and share my music with family and friends. I have always loved music and as a child was given a 45RPM record player and stacks of 45's. Songs like "teen anger in love" and "tie a yellow ribbon" would be played as well as Bad Finger's, "day after day". Too many to list but that was my first exposure to music outside of the radio. I loved John Denver and Neil Young growing up and many other artists I would gain exposure to music by the tastes of my older brothers, bands like The Eagles, Alice Cooper, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac all these and many more.
when i turned 8 my Dad bought me Eddie Arnold's greatest hits album for my birthday, definitely not what I asked for but I listened to it anyway and I still have that album today and appreciate it. My father also liked Johnny Cash and actually went to see him live as well as other greats including Louis Armstrong so he appreciated music and shared his favorites with me as well.
Music plays a part in most peoples lives and I have come to the conclusion that we all need music and it is a lot like food and if its good it does not matter where it comes from, we just enjoy it.
I don't know if my own music is very good and honestly don't really care, because for me music has always provided a needed outlet, it has been great therapy, providing balance and joy during the challenges life exposes us all to. - Cosmicbs
